I own both copies o the PC and Gamecube version (both are connected to my 21" vga monitor) and the gamecube version is VASTLY superior to the PC version visually. The PC game looks like it's a voodoo gfx era game (pre 1999), with no light sources and dysmal textures (taken from the not so good looking PS2 version).
Man... the port was so horrible i destroyed the dvd in the microwave oven. Now that's quality fun.
(was cheap so i don't care... much!
