There were lots of data files updated, some bugs can be fixed that way! The retail crack works with the patched game as I just reinstalled, patched and copied the v1.0 crack across, game works fine!
I personally don't trust those Carbon cracks, and a few other respectable people on this forum didn't too. But, if it works for you and you're happy with it then that's fine with me
