Considering that for Samsung readers...
He has also implented a hack that makes the firmware have the same hash as the original one when dumped. More over since the firmware in the dvd-reader is not signed MS will have problems there too.
I know that they have complete kernel control, however if it where possible I wonder why it hasn't been done yet. Sure it was done on some Samsung X360's with a certain manufacturer date, however Commodore4Eva solved that one real quick (the E66) with a little differenf FW hack.
