Absolutely no idea about what format these handhelds actually accept; it was just an idea, knowing that XviD is becoming a "even de facto-er"

standard than DivX did before...
I'm using the
GordianKnot package for converting DVD's and TV recordings to XviD+MP3/AC3 rips. However, it is
not for beginners - I struggled with it for several weeks until I managed to make it do something sensible -, you might be better off with some more automized software such as
AutoGordianKnot (don't know these very well)...
Oh, to clear up something: MP4, DivX and XviD are more or les the same; they are just different implementations of the MPEG-4 standard.
