After endless hours of searching and frustration at broken links I found the alcohol image in a packaged file from a torrent. The file includes the V1.1 english patch, the v1.1-1.5 german patch and the 50mb working image. To work it do a fresh install of Guild II then apply the included v1.1 patch. If you're english version change localization in config file from "english" to "german" and in the loca file found in gameroot\resources from ENG to GER. Apply the included V1.5 german patch to your game then undo the changes you made to config and loca. Now mount the 50mb mini image in alcohol 52% (this is what I use, DT or 120% may work too I don't know) and enjoy a less crash filled game.
I won't post links because it seems that gets you banned here, but just search the torrents for guild 2 and look for the one about 70mb or so. It has everything you need to work. Enjoy
