Here's what I've done:

1. Mounted my [MULTI] DVD ISO (created from the original files ofc) of the game with daemon408-x86.exe (most recent version of DT) and installed.
2. Closed DT with all EMU ON.
3. Updated the game through the "Update Neverwinter Nights 2" program.
4. Mounted the poseden_MAXI_NWN2.mds in DT (poseden image from GCW).
5. Closed DT with all EMU ON.
6. Started the game through the shortcut.

Working like a charm and as you can see I didnt use YASU, Disconnected/Removed my DVD Drive.

Possible reason why its not working for you:

1. You're not mounting an ISO from the original files. Probably its a ripped/cracked version.
2. You've sh*t blacklisted programs in your computer. (Possible from other games, cracks, you name it).

You cant get simpler than this.

Have fun.

Where do you get [MULTI] DVD ISO, and what does [MULTI] and [MULTI4] mean?

I created an image(with alcohol. I don't know what to do to make it a full image though. I just let the options stand at default) NWN2 from my original nwn2 DVD, and did everything you describe. I downloaded poseden_MAXI_NWN2.mds (is it supposed to take up only 49 kb?) from GCW. I have daemon408-x86 so I mounted poseden_MAXI_NWN2.mds with it and tried to run the game. (After updating of course).

The game still tells me that the DVD is not authenthicated, although it is the original. (I've tried with the DVD in the station at the same time and without)

Please help me. I am new to this stuff. I would also be greatful if anyone could help me to clear up whats wrong with my DVD drive. It's an AOPEN DVD RW ISU8424E, and it has given me problems before with games like nwn, hitman: contracts and deus ex 1 and 2. All those games were original with working cd-keys. I have the latest firmware on the DVD-station and it doesn't seem to be any BIOS upgrades availiable.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I deleted alcohol120% after making the image, and I don't have any other programs except for NERO burning utilities that came with the laptop when I bought it.

EDIT2: I made it worked. I had just mounted the .rar file. How stupid of me...

Anyway. I still want to know whats wrong with my DVD-station.

And THANKS A LOT for the guide. Prizeless!
