3. Physically disconnect your cdrom drives. I did this by disabling my primary and secondary IDE controllers in the BIOS. I knew I could do this because my hard drives are SATA. You can also just unplug the power cable or ribbon cable from your CDROM. I tried the "Disable" in device manager and that didn't work for me. You should only have 1 CDrom (virtual DT) at this step.
Does this mean I need to uninstall the drivers? Will they come back next time I fire up my computer? Will I need to reinstall them again? Or is disable something else?
