lol, that is very amusing but not true.
Yes there are possibly a 'few' places named after Scottish places. We also have many places named after UK places or people.
In comparison to other countries, Australia is still very young. So naturally some of our towns and cities etc have been named after famous places and or people. And since Australia was founded by the British this makes perfect sense.
But 'most' places have Australian names. We do also have many places named after Aboriginal origins.
Ok enough of the Aussie history lesson.
