That Mini Image actually works!
You have to make an DVD-Image (with Virtual CD v8) of the original Anno-DVD or(!) an existing Anno-image you've already made.
You'll get some Anno1701-files ( --> *.000, *.001, *.002, *.VBL, *.ico, *.jpg, *.htm AND *.vc4). Adding the .vc6-file from GCW you can mount Anno1701.
Make sure that you can mount a virtual drive onto a physical drive and mount it onto your first (physical) drive! Only by doing this the copy protection won't find out that you're using an image!
