For all people who try to play this game without CD...
You
NEED the original Game, because only VCD 8 can read the copy protection from the DvD.
Original instruction:
Here, with the image fix [German].
In english
:
1. Make a VCD-Image from the original DvD.
2. Replace the GOTHIC3.v8 with the from the fixed image from gcw.
3. Mount the GOTHIC.v6 in your physikal Drive, NOT the virtual. (maybe deactivate all visual drives).
4. Patch the game to 1.1.
5. Start Gothic3.exe
Enjoy...
This works 100% if you got the original DvD. (German Version, english i dunno). Without freezing oder Errors.
