Get F-Prot for DOS (free!) from
http://www.f-prot.com/download/home_user/index.html , put it onto a DOS boot disk, boot onto it and remove the virus. (If it's an NTFS partition, try the very recent FreeDOS 1.0,
http://www.freedos.org; as far as I remember, it has NTFS drivers, too.)
As for Norton/Symantec Antivirus, welcome to the club...

Time to swap for NOD32 or some other
reliable virus/malware scanner!
