And I'd like to add that there's a FREE, multi-platform solution for ripping streamed videos off web sites:
MPlayer. Besides being capable of playing pretty much
any video format off a file, without having to install tons of codecs (!!!), it can also play videos off the web and, also, dump streamed videos into files. The syntax is very simple:
mplayer -dumpstream -dumpfile <filename> <URL>
