Evox is not really a chip, it is just a dashboard. The Evox bios were created by the same team that created the Evox dash, but the dash is designed to work with all bios, not just their own. Their bios are outdated though, they have long abandoned the "scene".


EvoX is a great dash and works for most flash types, but it does not support them all, or sometimes has problems. It flashes them once then stops working. I abandoned it once it stopped working for my cheapmod and tsop flash's.

I got the error above, "unknown flash type". Many people have experienced this problem as well. It cannot be fixed with an ini modification.

I use the linux raincoat flasher. You either load a hacked gamesave or load from a CD (if you have a hacked bios already). The moment it boots, it looks for the properly named bios in the same directory and then flashes it to the chips/eeprom.
