Yes, it's the easiest process of all. You just boot with any large TOC DVD original; the tray ejects automatically; you have 4 secs to put the DVD-R in and the DVD-R boots.
The problem for you is that it needs the original modchip.com beta; modchip.com final version uses AR2 and so it would have to be the same process as for NEO2.2 and NEO2.5. Don't worry about it - you'll still be able to boot DVD-Rs.
The "good news" is that if you can get hold of one of those chips, it works in parallel with pther modchips and doesn't disturb them - at least that's true for the OrigaChip that I use in my JAP PS2. So I get all the advantages of being able to play DVD import originals whilst having thew simplest possible swap method for the DVD-Rs. And THANKS!!!! TAHNKS!!!!
