You should be seeing a "Wrong Disc inserted" Error if your system is clean from Alcohol 120% and have no anit-blacklisting tools running.(SRstop and SD4hide)
The drive should not matter, assuming it can read CD-Roms, and DaemonTools 4.0x will work just fine. Do you have any other Cd burning or backup software that would be hiding something? Will the game start with oringinal CD-ROM?
Also, If the executable is hanging 30sec before telling you this than something is interfering w/ RMPS emulation. Ensure the Disc is identified in Windows as SH2 and not "Needs Emulation". |
I just formated a few days ago, and the only burning program I have installed is Nero. Apart from Daemon Tools, I don't have another emulation program running. Neither I have SRstop or SD4hide.
And yes, the disc is identified as SH2.
Is really weird... don't have a clue of whats going on.
