no I do not have the same error (yes, I was sad and bought it)
But I am playing it at Uni and I dont bring all my cd's with me (to much excess baggage) plus I dont like to use the cd's if I can help it, less chance of damaging them or losing them.
Looks like I will have to wait and see if a better no-cd crack appears, so it looks like cossacks 2 will be played to death...
