Anyway, remember, kids, cleaning your teeth is important!

Actually, my dentist said the following good advices:
1. Go to the dentist at least
every year and have plaque removed (rubbed off) your teeth, besides having him or her check your teeth anyway. Bacteria love plaque and can cause from inflammation to loss of your teeth! Plus, the lack of plaque makes your teeth white - or not that much yellow colorish.
2. Clean your teeth
daily.
A) First, use dental floss to remove food left between your teeth, including the ones at the back, as far as you can reach. (If you get the hang of it, it won't take more than a single minute.)
B) Then, clean your teeth as usual. Actually, I was told that there exist "single-bristle" toothbrushes, which should be preferred to the common "lots of hair"

ones: they don't push or hurt the gum, which could also cause dental problems or the gum moving off your teeth and making your teeth unstable and easier to fall out.
As usual, when you find out that you've been doing things wrong, it's gonna be way too late. This is so sadly human... So, better adhere to a few basic guidelines. Admittedly, we only have one life so we cannot find out whether such guidelines help at all, though...
