Like I said its serial related.
Lots of people have had not a problem with the game, and as seen on their forums varied machines and chipsets.
Only people who didnt want to expand further on their forums or didnt want to register their game to get help are the ones with the cd-key problems.
Clever stuff by the developers/publishers.
