I've tried all that you mentioned, including deleting every application I thought could have something to do with either CD/DVD burning or blacklisting tools.
The ones I let be is DAEMON Tools, Pr0t.St0p v1.0 and SecuROM 1.2.
Now I've followed all the instructions and I have used RegCleaner but still the same issue with the error message that tells me there is a conflict with emulation software.
Maybe its because I have the wrong image file, where did you get yours?
EDIT: So now I have solved it, it turned out to be a faulty image, I said it myself. I suggest you go to
www.gamecopyworld.com and install the first release of the DVD Fix Image for this to work, altough there should be no need for Pr0t.St0p v1.0, only run the Hitman ".exe" file with SecuRom 1.2 as usual. It should work as a charm.
