Your PS2 has a problem with "stamped" dual layer discs???

If so.... Its time to clean the laser or start looking for a new PS2.....

Not trying to be an ass.... But if it (your PS2) has trouble reading the disc (especially if its a new disc), you need to be looking for a replacement PS2 (or laser) or at least clean the laser with a cleaning disc... Or before long you will be sitting around with a PS2 that wont play anything......

If your talking about a "backup" of a dual layer disc....???

Thats a entirely different ballgame......

Could be "cheap" media.... A weak laser.... A dirty laser.... A problem with your burning.... etc....

Also.... If for some reason your playing it off of the hdd..... You need to use Mode 3.....
i can understand his concerns. my ps2 (v3) has big problems with streaming games and problems with dual layer dvd's. the laser is the cheapest sony could get - i think....
i replaced it 2 and a half year ago - but kow the laser doesn't read any dvd's anymore. the weird thing is that i am using a HDD with my ps2 since more than 18 month right now - and the laser doesn't need to read any discs while i am playing.... but it got borken again. i cleaned the laser and the ps2 inside several times but it had only little effect for a short period of time.

i got a little bit pissed off with that laser issue and i am not willing to spend another 69 euros for a 3rd LASER....

at least i am happy that the laser can read CD's so i can use an exploit to start the hdd..... and my pc has usb2 so i can easily install games via winhiip.....

i can admit warlock: to know which type of media the game uses - take dvd decrypter to find out....

by the way: Der Pate - aka GODFATHER is on a single layer dvd.....
