IS a way to make a back-up. it involves two drives depending on what program you use and how you do it, one of them has to be a burner. Get a program like Alcohol 120% or a regular burning program, and just copy the entire disk onto a blank disk.
OR
Just use Alcohol 120% or similar program to create an image of the disk on your HD. This copies the entire disk to your HD so it would be wise to get a fairly big HD if you're going to be doing that alot. Then when you want to play it use Alcohol or similar proggram to mount the image to a virtual drive.
Presto! You have now just backed-up the disk.
Note: I post this info in good faith that you will
NOT use it for illegal purposes such as selling the original and still being able to play. Also this does not work on certain protected disks.
