this might be a long shot but would anyone know if a slightly damaged silver ribbon attached to the eject buttons of a ps2 could cause strange behavior?
my ribbon has a couple dents and creases in it and i think that may be the reason it won't close right..
i hope the ps3 hardware is not as bad as this
