Is anyone currently working on a NOCD for this one?

I bought it for my son for Christmas and I've been told it has starforce protection with that ****ty 'checking disk' screen at load up.
My boy is 7 and i would like his hands off the discs. So, if anyone is able to help i would be verrrry grateful!
