Doom 3 + Resurrection of Evil Expansion on One DVD

If you want to use my Install Menu available for download from GCW then you need to have certain files in specific places! Otherwise the Menu won’t be able to find them!

Doom3Menu.jpg

Create a Temp folder on your harddrive. Name this folder D3_ROE_1. This will be the name of our DVD
Copy all the files from The Resurrection of Evil CD to this D3_ROE_1 folder.
Create another folder in the D3_ROE folder named Doom 3 ROE CrackFix.
Copy the Resurrection Crackfix to this folder. (Note this crackfix bypasses the call-home behaviour during key validation. There is now no need to disconnect from the Internet or to change your hosts file. This can also be blocked using your Firewall without using this CrackFix!)
Create a text file named Serial.txt for both the Doom 3 and the Resurrection of Evil serials and save it in the root of the D3_ROE_1 folder.Place both the Doom3 and the ROE Serials in this text file!
NOTE: The text file must be named Serials.txt. Don’t forget the ‘s’ on the end of Serials!

Create another folder in the D3_ROE_1 folder and name it Doom3_DVD.
Copy all the files from the Doom3 CD1 to this Doom3_DVD folder
Now copy all .PK4 files from the Setup/Data/Base Folders from the Doom3 CD2 & CD3 to the setup/data/base folder in the Doom3_DVD folder.
Do NOT copy any other files from CD2 or CD3!
Now using Orca (or Masai Editor) right click the file 'Doom 3.msi' and from near the top of the menu choose ‘Edit with Orca’. (You may have to edit the properties of this file to make it read only, but as it is copied to the harddrive it is probably already edited automatically)
When opened you will see 2 window panes, go to the ‘Tables’ one on the left and scroll down to ‘Media’
Click on ‘Media’ this will show you the entries in the Right pane.
Change all the entries in the ‘VolumeLabel’ column to Doom 3_DVD.
I also changed the ‘DiskPrompt’ Column so that all four entries read DOOM 3 Disk 1.
Then ‘Save’ it. (You can also use a program called ‘Masai Editor’ instead of ‘Orca’)
Create another folder for the Crack. Name this folder Crack. <--The Crack button on the Menu links to this Crack folder! So place whichever crack you plan to use in this folder!
EDIT: (I know I have already mentioned a Crack folder for ROE earlier BUT place the ROE Crack into this Crack folder you have just created! When I originally wrote this conversion I was blocking the game, with my firewall, to stop it connecting to the internet to call home to validate the Key. If you are going to use your firewall to block it then you can just continue using the old Doom3 Cracked exe to play both games! But if you don’t plan to block using the firewall then put the ROE crack here! The crack button on the menu links to this crack directory!
OR you can open the CD_Conf.ini file and edit this line (I have highlited it red here) to the path you want!

[BUTTON5]
ENABLE=1
X=10
Y=170
W=140
H=22
TEXT=NoCD Crack
STYLE=BITMAP
DOKUMENT=_CURRENTDIR_\Doom3_DVD\Crack
APPLIKATION=
PARAMETER=
FUNKTION=EXPLORE
BMP=_CURRENTDIR_\Btn.bti
TOOLTIP=
STOPSOUND=1
STARTSOUND=0

I hope all that is clear and not to confusing to follow!

Download my ‘Doom3_InstallerMenu’ from GameCopyWorld and extract the contents of the rar file to the root of the D3_ROE_1 folder overwriting any files when asked!

Now burn to a DVD using Nero with the Label: D3_ROE_1

When the DVD is inserted for installing it will open an Install menu where by a click of a button you will be able to install Doom 3 from its original Autorun installer. Then another click on the Resurrection of Evil button will open the Resurrection of Evil original Autorun installer.
Install both games then replace the ‘Doom3.exe’ with the cracked one you should have placed in the Cracks folder.
