Proof reading is your friend lol. The xbox does have a swap mod, but not in the traditional sense.
There are "Soft Mods" that can be set to load at various selections of the xbl dashboard, but you must have an older xbl dash (and cannot use xbox live so it will not update the dash). You don't need to swap a disk for that method.
There are also exploits for the games 007:AUF, Splintercell 1, and MechAssult 1. You basically load a hacked savegame that will then allow you to swap in apps/emulators/backups/etc...However, getting the save on the xbox may require you to purchase something like the xbox Action Replay (save game manager).
I don't like those exploits at all, however, there are many people that prefer them (does not require you to open the xbox at all). The Chip you chose is fine. I think the "spiderchip" may also be a really nice solderless mod.
