ok, start the image creating process like it says but as soon as it starts cancel the process. So start, count to 1, press cancel. Then try the image you just created. If it doesn work do the same process but count to 2 then cancel, and so on til you have an image that works.
If the image does work after the first attempt, then try it again and see if you can cancel the process even quicker to get the size down even more.
