In my experience its best to always measure the pots and be sure there set in the "safe zone" when installing a new laser. No 2 consoles are exactly the same. I know people who have burned up there new lasers on the first power up because they were not set correctly. Multimeters are cheap and are a must have when it come to laser adjustments and checking install problems. IMO laser replacement should be done by a well experienced installer. Azimuth and Radial Skew are just as important and can be difficult for someone thats never done it to get correctly.
