OK, my first post ever at GCW...Strange considering I have been visiting GCW since 1998, maybe earlier...those were the days
I don't know if people are still troubled/having trouble but here it is...
ALRIGHT!!! This WORKS everytime...if you can't get it to work then you have downloaded an illegal version...OK?
Thanks to ghost_dd for the cut and paste
His method is exactly right.
1. Install MotoGP3 (From the original OR even from an Image.
2. If you need to CREATE AN IMAGE...Run Alcohol 120% (Latest is best always) create image by YOU FROM YOUR ORIGINAL using Alcohol 120%.
3. Open the Image-Wizard
4. Configuration: Datatype: Securrom *NEW (4.x/5.x):
5. Create the Image at maximum DPM
6. Download and Run “virtual-cd-hide” then hide all virtual drives
7. Mount the created Image with Alcohol 120% (YES THE 700++ MEG one)
8. Run “regedit” and go to
\HKEY-LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\thq\MotoGP3
9. change the value of “CDPATH” -> type the path where your Image is
mounted. For example F:\
10. Exit AnyDVD and other programs like that
11. Go to the Folder, where you have installed MotoGP3 and right-click on
the motogp.exe, than set the compatability on "Windows 2000" even do this to the shortcut on your desktop (it shouldn't matter though)
12. Run MotoGP3 and have fun
Just tonight I also ran the Mini-Image from GCW out of curiosity with no problems. I didn't have to change the Mini-Image name either.
Keep in mind that the game insallation has to be from AN ORIGINAL or an IMAGE FROM the ORIGINAL!!! NOT A CHEAP ASS, MONEY SAVING, ILLEGAL DOWNLOAD.
Well that's that! Look...if you have the original game or an original image then it is very straight forward cd protection with only a couple of things to do to make this a success...
Take care all and to all the members and accociates of GCW...Keep up the good work.
Sorry about all the YELLING...just trying to "highlight" my words
Cheers,
