first of all: keep this address in mind

this is the best place iīve ever found about dreamcast tools, if you really want to learn how to mess up with your dreamcast games, try to spend some time there...
well, I have played a lot with my dreamcast games, and I must confess, in the beginning it was kind of a pain, but now after a overhead of information-seeking in this site, I think I can help ya... first of all, you must know which kind of music system your game (or games) use to store their music tracks... letīs try to explain:
some dreamcast games store music in an audio track at the same way ordinary music cd do... those games are called CD-DA games, just because they have one track for CD-DA audio (the audio track), and another one (the data track) for the game files... to find if your game is a CD-DA game, try to put your dreamcast game cd in an ordinary AUDIO CD PLAYER... if you can hear the music, that means you have a CD-DA game.... in this case, you should use a program to extract your CD-DA files and convert them to .WAV files, so you can burn them using a proper burner, like NERO (ftp://137.226.161.137/pub/mirror/ftp.ahead.de/nero50.exe)... Iīm not sure, but I guess CDRWIN (ftp://ftp.cdarchive.com/pub/goldenhawk/download/cdr40a-e.exe) can extract CD-DA tracks and convert them (but again Iīm not sure, if it doesnīt work you should try one of the following tools:
Exact Audio Copy
http://studserver.uni-dortmund.de/~su0165/eac09pb7.zip
CD2WAV32
http://homepage2.nifty.com/~maid/fsw/cd2wav32_r316.zip
if your ordinary AUDIO PLAYER cannot play your music, that means your game has the music stored in files, inside the data track... in this case, you must put your dreamcast game cd in your CD-ROM drive, and access the CD folder to list all the files inside your game CD...
dreamcast use audio-compression formats to store the game music in files, and it depends a lot on the game... most common formats are:
adx - tony hawk pro skater, sonic series, crazy taxi 2, and the imense majority of dreamcast games (which are not CD-DA)... try to search for any .adx file in your cd folder, where your game files are located, including all the subfolders... if you find .adx files, that means your game music are inside them... the best way to convert .adx files in .wav files (to burn the .wav files in an audio CD) is using the program
CinePack ADX Player Converter
http://home.interlink.or.jp/~lcm/tools/cp100b26.lzh
(too bad itīs in japanese, but itīs very easy to use, I donīt think itīll be a pain cause I donīt know a work of japanese and I can handle it without problem, itīs just a matter of common sense and guessing...)
afs - i.e. virtua tennis, crazy taxy 1, etc... afs is a kind of ZIP file, where all the .ADX files are store together, itīs called file system... you must first extract the afs content to access the .ADX files, then you should use the CinePack ADX to convert the ADX files to .WAV files
to access the afs content, try one of the following tools:
afslnk
http://server2045.virtualave.net/shareware2/dl/afslnk.zip
AFS Extractor
http://www5.airnet.ne.jp/########/soft/afs_extractor_003.zip
after that, youīll probably have you .WAV files ready to be burned in an audio session CD...
