With the DC modem you can always use a web browser like PlanetWeb or DreamPassport and then download saves from the net.
If you have your own save and want to transfer it to a VMU, you upload the save from your computer to some web hosting, and then use the DC browser to download the save. (using the URL
www.yourhost.com/yourdir/save.vmi)
