It is not the onboard usb 2.0 on the k7vt2 that is giving him problems, it seems to be on hi speed.
The pci plug in card with via chipset at the ecs board seems to be the problem, even after trying to install the via drivers, the device manager still doesn't list a usb 2.0 enhanced, which is necessary. It only shows as a "normal" usb 2.0 device (not enhanced).
I have read a lot on this subject (e.g. via usb 2.0 chipsets are crap), but I simply cannot figure it out. I will keep investigating this stuff, cos the data transfer is that slow, that you can burn the data to a cd and even gain some time, that is useless.
