To be honest I think the solderless Xenium SP.I.C.E is great. Solderless for all versions of xbox (1.0-1.6b). I have installed 3 of those myself and before that 2 Xenium Ice SP.
Really simple install, easy setup and works great. But sure, the best would be if you could find someone to solder an Xecuter 2/3 for you. But if you do now know anyone or feel like doing it yourself but lacks the necessary soldering skills the Xenium SP.I.C.E will be fine...
