First off, just give your Ps2 to someone who knows what to do with it, or sell it at a yard sale and use the money to buy a "home stereo system". I'd be more supportive of someone using their Ps2 as a means to heat a frozen TV dinner.

Second, a Linux kit? Again, see previous TV dinner comment.

Third, (this one is actually helpful), I've read the hdadvance 3 can be used to transfer games onto your Ps2's hard drive via the network adapter from your computer provided you have the ethernet cable and network card. The only version I've seen for sale at the moment is the PAL format though.

But honestly a jukebox?
Go buy an Xbox, buy a modchip, flash the bios, reload the OS, and make a jukebox.
