Thanks NoNo9 - his discs were pretty filthy, may be cause? I've cleaned them all up and they work ok at my gaff (should have tried them uncleaned then I would have eliminated the prob
) I have told him to carry on from now and if its still no good, we'll try swapping with my cable and see if that's any good!!
