Am I the only one that's saw that?
What you should do, first of all try to use the original serial key found in your box where you original cd:s/dvd:s are.
What you also should do is run with your original disc inserted and the origina serial key typed, after you upgraded to latest. Think it is the first run after every starforce installation/update that's are most critical. Later I think you can try use the mini image with the method that is written.
But right me if I'm wrong, I've never buyed a game that's are starforce protected
