Well it has been a good day. I took apart my pink deck. I cleaned out the dust and checked the chip. It was an exceptionally tidy chip install inside the deck. I took the battery out of the motherboard for a few minutes and then put everything back together. Then I was able to flash the chip with the dms3 upgrade disc. Now all is well. I guess it was a bad flash and just somehow got itself stuck not wanting to reflash. Thanks to all you guys for the help and advice.
