if a game is selfboot it would load
right after you press the power button

you see the dremcast logo ,then it should load
very calm ,..without any strange sounds ..
ie laser unit forwarding fast and back,...
and no turbo spinning sounds.....

yes some games do require a boot cd !
you will find the utopia cd on that site

if you have a newer model dc ,developed
after mabe dec 2000 you may need a newer
modified utopia cd especially for this new ones
"protected" dc consoles ...i have one ,...
email me ....

also check that you use a quality iso ,like
released from echelon ,they are the masters
in releasing isos, and they always do a hard work
in releasing 100% working releases ,.....

if you put in the utopia ,it says then insert cd ...
after that on the left ground screen side
you should then see a red counter which will
show you that the cd is loading now ,after 100%
it should work ,....

download both utopias ,1.0 and 1.2 ,and the one for new consoles ,...from aeh ..email .me )

there was also a posting here from someone
making games selfboot possible on new dc consoles ,just 2 days ago ,....i know its confusing
a bit ,if you read that ,so mabe you should
try out the already fixed ut booty ...
i have an old one dc ,so never tried that out
but the one developed it said it works with every
normal iso on a protected dc console ,.....

if you have more questions ,email me ,...
or post and ask here k )

something more ...if you have dead or alive 2
released by echelon ,better dont use that
one on your console ,there is something wrong with that release ,not really wrong ..it will
load and play fine ,but ....the laser unit always
scratches on the disc ,like loading the game
data without an end ...that is NOT normal ,...
kallisto released a better version of that ...
but thats as far as i know the only game with a prob like that ,...
