done! just flashed the chip with firmware 1.5, and ive tried everything, ps1 games, ps2, backups movies, it all works PERFECTLY ! I'm completely chuffed with myself!
i would have taken a pic, but i dont have a camera.
it was a fairly neat job by my standards as well
