Yes - if your modchip boots with the Utility Disk, then you must use CDRWin to copy the game and patch using the Universal Patcher v1.5 downloaded from ####://www.megagames.com or ####://www.ps2ownz.com.

That's why I moved to the OrigaChip for the JAP PS2 leaving the old modchip in so as to be able to play the backups I have already patched with the Utility Disk.
