The 1450-sp-patch is no fake. It's a release from Starforce to deactivate the protection for those, who can't play even with their original. There is no virus in. It SHOULD work like this:
1.) Download it & replace EXE and DLL in game folder with the ones from the RAR file, run the game --> Restart
2.) Now your in the activation menue, choose automatic activation(tells me the server is not availible) and if it works, you're lucky
3.) If not choose manuell activation and note your harware key.
4.) Now go to
https://proactive.star-force.com/activate.php and enter your hardware id and your serial, you should get a NO-DVD key which u enter in the following step of manuell activation ---> game runs without DVD
NOTES: That does only seem to work in the USA not in europe
If it doesn't work in the us too, SF has put this servis off cuz there've been to many who got a NO-DVD key although they got no original of the game, but u may also try to contact SF support and ask for a key.
