Soldiers Emulated easily (at least for me)

It really was that easy to me...

WinXP SP2
2 SCSI-Drives (CD-Rom + DVD-Rom)
1 IDE Drive (DVD-Burner)
Soldiers of WW2 EUROPE-Version

- copied all files from the CDs to a temp-folder on Hard-Disk
- installed from there!
- installed soldiers-euro-patch-1.12
- installed soldiers mp-patch 1.28 (which is also a single-player-patch!)
- installed daemon-tools (never used it before)
- mounted the image-files (from this thread) as Drive-J (for me)
- reboot (required)
- started soldiers.exe
- entered the required EURO-Key
- tested the 1st russian-mission = NO problems at all!!!
- NO unplugging of ANY Drives or similar sh*t necessary!!! = still have ALL drives connected!
- oh yes... I afterwards DELETED all files from the temp-folder on Hard-Drive and it still works!

conclusion:
the reported INTRO etc. problems MUST have to do with installed video-codecs!
I only have ffd-show installed and really NO problems with crashes etc.

hope this info helps those who still can't emulate it properly...
