Normaly the ATi Catalyst Drivers don't support Mobility Radeons - Chips.
If the available graphic-driver for your laptop/notebook is quite old, you can try the "Mobility Modder Tool" ( http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/) to make the newest ATi Catalyst Driver installable on your laptop/notebook.
