The release date of ADVANCED BATTLEGROUNDS was 13th Dec. 2004.
The release date of CHROME GOLD was 23th Sep. 2004.

www.chromethegame.com we can read, CHROME GOLD is CHROME with all Patches and new maps and options.
Until 23th Sep. 2004 there was release UpdatePatch V1.2.0.0. This UpdatePatch is still the most current version.
So you will need a crack for V1.2.0.0 . There is a Fixed EXE available for this version. Have you already tried this crack?
If it don't work, then they have done a new (only for Chrome Gold) update. Perhaps, just to make the crack don't work.
