all of it adds up a solderless chip £$25-30 features normal xbox bios for live and for backup. What i think is that yeah if your gonna do 100 xboxs and no one ever is going to touch live go ahead but there are risks! If not go chip it it will be worth it in the long run and always upgradable as it only uses the lpc bus and d0 point which omg uve already soldered 2. This is prob jiberish but i still think its better to get a chip. i spent 10 pounds on my first xbox install that was it i was given free solder and wire and some tips from spedmetal how to strip the wires and scrape the laquer off. I had a little previous experience with a soldering iron back in the day at school. This was with a massive soldering nib! and i took my time it took me 50 min to do my first xbox install as it was a tricky v1.0 i couldnt get the board out. i finally did it tho and it was an experience to see it actually work first time, with a little practice you will be fine.
