What I did for the pins is apply flux to the wire and the pin. I put some solder on the tip of my soldering iron and dipped the end of the wire in the melted solder. If it is not enough then let the wire dry and dip it again and it will come out thicker. If it has too much you can cut off some of the solid solder from the wire with a wire cutter. Then I dipped the in flux again and place it ontop of the leg. Then I just touch the wire thats against the leg for less than a second and thats it.

I had a simular problem too I accidently pulled on the wire and tore off all of the solder from the SCEX point. I thought I ruined it but luckily I added a lot of solder and got the point on. Everything works fine. So don't loose hope. Good luck.
