i dont think theres a dvd drive in the world that cant read dual layer dvds. when reading theres very little difference between reading a single or dual layer dvd. all it has to do is change frequencies between layers

its when writing dvds that theres a big difference between single and dual layers. thats why it took so long for dual layer writers to become commercially available


the answer is obvious really - DVD movies come on dual layer dvds (well, 99% of them these days anyway) and the xbox plays DVD movies...
