Well the one I have is about the size of a pencil eraser and I think it makes a bloody ugly mess and strips varnishing off all the tracks including the ones you don’t want to be soldering. With the fine tip of a box knife you can easily scrape just enough around the hole for a nice neat looking job.

Anyways, I have a nice pencil tipped fiberglass pen that works heavenly. F- the knife (ghetto style!).
