guys i hava a partial solution that may help others if they enconter same prob
you have to go to device manager and disable the port you are not using (ie the second hid complient game device listed in the human interfaces section. that fixed the menu probs for me but interduced another prob the pad keeps "rumbling" i have deactivated vibration in the game menu but stil no luck
the drivers say in the control pannel options 2.0.10.0 23/9/01 very old but cant find manufacture name on box or device
