For a safe estimate I'd say the amount that lufcfan stated. I'd say that it would probably be a bit more due to the fact that most games are not 4 gb. Also take into consideration that the HD will be smaller (not by much though) once you format and such in the ps2.

I'm considering picking up one of these bad boys. Just curious though, the NA.... ethernet + modem or just ethernet, I heard the combo is a better choice. Also is a "large" majority of the games workable on the HDD? There are sites that state that there are very few, yet on ps2nfo, there seemed to be quite abit, and a lot of them are new ones and popular ones . Oh well, I've read the threads and visited the sites, and I'm picking up one as soon as I get a new laser. About the HD, 7200 RPM is alright right? It won't overheat or anything? I've read that for some it does and other times it didn't really make a difference with the RPM. Also how would I be able to take the data off the HD and put it on my comp and such for backup and what not? Take out the drive and place it in the comp? or would placing it in one of those external HD cases that connect via USB work?
Is Maxtor an alright brand? I'm thinking of picking up that combo on ConsoleSource HDLoader Combo ConsoleSource . Any thoughts or opinions on the deal and the dealer?

Sorry for the questions, but the other thread was locked and I was still a little confused over a few things. Also sorry if I wrote anything I shouldn't have .
