@CGL, dude whenever I answer the phone thats how the calls are treated. I always use the alias "Lou Beaman" when they ask for a manager. And your right they do call back asking for a "Mr. Beaman" like they know the guy. BTW the boss is always out (if you know what I mean) plus he only shows up at 6pm for paperwork.
(Our shop is closed at 5pm)
Sometimes when Im in a playful mood (and only when I know its a telemarketer) I will abruptly start screaming that Ive dropped hot coffee in my lap. That usually confuses and discourages the telemarketer into hanging up. Its also good for a laugh when the other workers know what your doing.
